My Grandmother always kept Iris beds outside near her bedroom window and I was always overwhelmed by the heady deliciousness of their fragrance. They are one of my favorite flowers in the whole world…Iris and Violet and Rose.
Irises are, to me at least, one of the most amazing plants around. The varieties we have here are extremely hardy as well. They’ve survived everything Wisconsin weather can throw at them.
